About the Role
The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our boutique, overseeing all aspects of inventory control, housekeeping, maintenance, and selling service associates.
- Manages shipping and receiving department, assessing actions to be taken with receiving issues, and ensuring timely movement of merchandise.
- Takes part in managerial responsibilities for efficient running of the business, including overseeing cash handling procedures, validating documentation, and reporting to the Managing Director.
- Ensures workflow of after-sales service and craftspeople/tailors, performs and prepares for inventories and cycle counts, and reconciles stock discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaison with corporate construction and maintenance department, outside vendors, and IT contacts to ensure building and store maintenance meets company standards.
- Coordinates and prepares evacuation drills, provides training on emergency response preparedness, and oversees operations and after-sales supply orders.
- Recruits and maintains an active talent bank for operational positions, trains staff to ensure compliance with operational policies and procedures, and sets parameters to support operational efficiency and growth.
Supervisory Responsibility: Yes. This position has direct supervision over Inventory Control Specialists and Selling Service Associates (SSAs).
Budget Responsibility: Yes. The Operations Manager is directly involved with budget expectations regarding selling supplies, cleaning and maintenance contracts, guard services, repairs, rental equipment, and kitchen supplies.
