Herndon Electric is looking for positive-minded individuals who are looking to build a career to add to our growing team of electricians, copper and fiber optic structured cabling technicians. In addition to installation of electrical distribution systems, we have been providing our clients with copper and fiber optic cabling system solutions for more than 30 years. We are looking for experienced technicians who have a desire to broaden their skills by becoming an electrician apprentice. Individuals will perform duties related to the installation of electrical distribution systems, copper and fiber optic cabling systems in large commercial, industrial and health care industries. We are seeking individuals that will be capable of assisting us in maintaining our long-term relationships with clients in the health care and industrial industries.

Requirements/Job Duties:

· Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment

· Project management skills

· Excellent time management skills

· Maintain a professional working attitude with customers and co-workers

· BICSI certification a plus but not required

· Installation of Cat 6 and Cat 6A network cable, coaxial cable and fiber optic cable

· Installation of aerial and outside plant copper and fiber optic cabling systems

· Termination, testing and certifying copper and fiber optic cabling systems

· Manage installation of copper and fiber optic structured cabling systems on a project-by-project basis.

· Coordination and scheduling of project materials

· Troubleshooting network cabling for LAN systems

· Troubleshooting of multi-mode and single-mode fiber optic cabling systems

· Troubleshooting of low voltage circuits

Pay: $14.00 - $25.00 per hour
