Hernshaw Farms is growing—literally—and we’re looking for a hands-on, passionate Mushroom Production Manager to help lead our mushroom grow operations.
This is a ground-floor opportunity with a fast-growing, sustainability-focused farm producing gourmet mushrooms, grow kits, and other fungi-based fun for homes and businesses across the country.
You'll be working alongside our experienced Production Manager, helping keep things running smoothly and scaling up our mushroom block production.
đź’µ Pay & Benefits:
•Starting at $16.50/hour
•$17/hour after 6 months based on performance and reliability
•401(k) available after 1 year of employment
🧠What You’ll Be Doing:
•Overseeing daily mushroom production (inoculation, incubation, fruiting, harvest)
•Monitoring grow environments and adjusting for optimal conditions
•Working closely with our other Production Manager (Brenna) to meet production goals
•Leading and coordinating the farm team
•Tracking inventory, ordering materials, and managing workflow
•Ensuring cleanliness, quality, and consistency across all products
•Reporting to the Farm Owner/Director with regular updates and improvement ideas
🛠️ What We’re Looking For
:
•Experience in mushroom cultivation, greenhouse growing, or agricultural operations preferre
•Strong leadership and communication skill
•Comfortable with physical work and working in warm, humid and sometimes very chilly environments
•Detail-oriented and able to troubleshoot problems independentl
•Passionate about sustainable farming and the fungi frontie

Full-time, typically Monday through Frida
Occasional weekend or evening work as needed during peak periods
