What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver/Appliance Installer position at Hero Transport?
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Appliance Delivery and Installation Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and installing a variety of home appliances ensuring they are set up correctly and functioning properly. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work as a 2 man team
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely load, transport, and unload appliances to customer locations.
- Install appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and dishwashers according to manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure all installations are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any questions or concerns customers may have.
- Perform pre-installation site inspections to ensure compatibility and readiness.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and installations using application
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- 2 yrs plus experience operating a 26' Ft box truck to larger.
- Basic knowledge of DOT/FMCSA rules and regulations.
- Previous experience in appliance delivery and installation is REQUIRED.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy appliances safely.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing connections.
- A smart phone with camera & screen in good working condition.
