SCOPE / POSITION OVERVIEW
The Fitness Attendant works closely with the Fitness Director to ensure safe and professional daily operations of the Fitness Center. This includes checking in members and residents, answering questions about the exercise equipment, and scheduling sessions with personal trainers and exercise classes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and welcome Members and Residents in a professional and courteous manner.
- Answer questions and provide assistance and information to Members & Guests.
- Accurately open, operate and close the point-of-sale system and process charges for training sessions.
- Ensure that towels and hygienic wipes are always kept at par stock inventory levels and that the appearance meets or exceeds standards.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures for the Fitness Center.
- Ensure safety regulations, policies and procedures are followed.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School education and general knowledge of fitness equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; kneel; use hands to handle; and talk or hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
