Your Opportunity
We are seeking a talented, part-time summer intern (20 hours per week) to join our People & Culture (Human Resources) team in Seattle for 8-10 weeks between May – September 2025!
Over the summer, you’ll work with a passionate team of three HR professionals who are eager to hear your ideas and support your growth while you learn how HR shapes an organization from the inside out. You will gain hands-on experience in everything from recruitment, onboarding, and benefits to employee engagement, operations, and data management. Along the way, we’ll help you uncover your own interests, sharpen your skills, and envision an exciting future in the world of human resources.
Here are some examples of what you might work on:
- Recruitment & onboarding: assist in posting job openings, screening resumes and scheduling interviews; prepare onboarding materials and assist with new hire orientation
- Benefits: learn about benefit offerings, participate in meetings with our benefit broker, support benefit enrollment process
- Employee engagement: support our ongoing employee engagement initiatives (e.g., surveys, recognition, helping to design engaging meetings)
- Employee records & data management: organize and maintain electronic files, update HR databases
- Policies & compliance: research and draft updates to policies and procedures, assist with compliance audits
- Assist with ad hoc projects that pique your interests such as:
- DEI-related project work
- Training
- Performance management
Minimum Qualifications
Education, Experience, & Licensure/Certifications
- A rising college junior, senior, or graduate student passionate about HR and currently pursuing a degree in human resources management, psychology/sociology, or related field
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Positive attitude and solid work ethic
- Self-motivated with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
- Aptitude for learning new systems, processes, and industry specific knowledge
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Solid written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Critical thinking and analytical skills, along with a strong attention to detail
- Experience with basic computer software including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to maintain professionalism, including punctuality, reliability, and confidentiality
- Ability to navigate diverse work environments, contribute to an inclusive culture, and work effectively with individuals from different backgrounds
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule (Tuesdays & Thursdays in-office, remaining hours remotely) for 8-10 weeks in Seattle between May and September 2025

Additional Information
This is an hourly, non-exempt, temporary position. The pay rate is $24.00 per hour. The position is not eligible for benefits unless required by city, state, or federal law.
