We are seeking a talented, full-time summer intern to join our Marketing team in our Seattle office for 8-10 weeks between May – September 2025!
Are you a strong communicator majoring in marketing, communications, or an environmental field? As a Marketing Intern at Herrera, you will gain hands-on experience in B2B marketing, equipping you with the skills to effectively communicate environmental initiatives to wide audiences. This role will involve a mix of content creation for social media and business development, digital marketing asset organization, and interactions with a wide range of environmental professionals, offering you practical insights into the unique role of architectural/engineering/construction (AEC) marketing.

Additional Information
This is an hourly, non-exempt, temporary internship position. The pay rate is $24.00 per hour. The position is not eligible for benefits unless where required by city, state, or federal law.

- Writing and editing compelling text for target markets and clients
- Contributing to digital strategy and content creation including social media posts, scheduling, graphics, and blogs
- Reviewing digital analytics
- Updating key marketing data such as resumes, templates, and project descriptions
- Assisting with technical updates to the external website and internal platforms
- Supporting corporate proposals and business development efforts
Education, Experience, & Licensure/Certifications
- A rising college junior, senior, or graduate student currently pursuing a degree in communications or marketing, or an environmental field such as climate change resiliency, sustainability, environmental studies, or environmental science
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe InDesign and/or Adobe Illustrator, and SharePoint
- Positive attitude and solid work ethic
- Self-motivated with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
- Aptitude for learning new systems, processes, and industry specific knowledge
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Sharp critical thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism, including punctuality and reliability
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule:as a partially remote company, we value effective virtual communication to foster connection and collaborationwhichincludes regular video meetings
- Curiosity about researching new topics, and gathering and synthesizing information
