As a Stormwater Design Engineer, you will join a team of experienced, creative, and mission driven engineers, scientists, landscape architects, planners, biologists, and other experts working on a diverse variety of meaningful and impactful projects, such as stormwater and green infrastructure projects and water quality studies
In this role we will count on you to:
- Assist with the planning and design of small- and large-scale stormwater facilities and stormwater infrastructure retrofits
- Assist with the planning and design of green infrastructure and community amenities for municipal, industrial, non-profit and community partners.
- Assist with civil site development engineering design for industrial facilities, parks, trails, campuses, and open spaces
- Assist with the production of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports for stormwater infrastructure projects
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic stormwater model simulations to design flow control, water quality, and conveyance infrastructure
- Prepare stormwater management reports and technical memoranda
Education, Experience, & Licensure/Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certificate, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Experience with and/or interest in planning and design of stormwater infrastructure
- Experience with and/or interest in preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimate packages along with related technical reports for public and/or private stormwater management facilities and/or site development civil engineering projects
- Experience with and/or interest in hydraulic and hydrologic stormwater modeling
- Strong team collaboration, clear written and verbal communication abilities, and excellent organization and task management skills
- A passion for developing sustainable solutions to complex stormwater problems for public and private clients
- Ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams, and juggle multiple tasks
- Construction observation or inspection experience on civil projects
- Experience designing green stormwater infrastructure (GSI)
- Experience developing plans for construction
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with stormwater modeling software (WWHM, MGSFlood, SWMM,AutoCAD/Civil3D drafting software, andBluebeam PDF editing software
- This position is salaried and exempt from overtime; the annual salary ranges by level are:
- Level I: $72,000 - $91,200
- Level II: $81,600- $100,800
- Salary is determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to years of experience, type/relevance of experience, skillset, geographic location, and fit for the role
