What are the responsibilities and job description for the Library Aide - Community Relations position at HERRICK DISTRICT LIBRARY?
The Herrick District Library is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Library Aide to join our team in the Community Relations department at the Main Library. Library Aides perform a wide range of library functions that encourage our community to connect, discover, and create.
Primary duties include organizing and maintaining physical supply inventories and digital files, representing the library at occasional outreach events, checking in and shelving library materials, and assisting with social media posts and reports.
This position requires a high school diploma and strong verbal and written communication skills. Spanish language proficiency, photography skills, and basic business or journalistic writing experience are preferred.
Weekly schedule: (hours may vary and there is some flexibility)
- 20 hours per week at the Main Library Monday-Friday between 8:00-5:00pm
- Every 3rd Saturday 9:00-2:00 at the North Branch
- Occasional Sun 1:00-6:00pm (Off Tuesday when working Sunday)
