What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver - CDL A or B position at Herrman Lumber Company?
The Driver position will be responsible for loading trucks and making local deliveries. Drivers will have regular interaction with customers and vendors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform daily truck inspections.
- Pull orders and load trucks for delivery.
- Verify loads for accuracy and ensure they are properly secured for safe transport.
- Deliver loads to building sites.
- Assist customers in the yard and at delivery sites.
- Accountable for all safety requirements of trucks and equipment used in the yard.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent standing and may involve walking varied distances and climbing stairs.
- Occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Exposed to altered climate conditions when in warehouse or yard or on delivery sites.
