Truss Designer

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Truss Designer. This role is perfect for someone looking to start a career in structural design, with a focus on creating truss systems for residential and commercial construction projects. No extensive experience is required, just a willingness to learn, attention to detail, and an interest in design. You'll use industry-standard software to produce accurate and efficient truss designs while gaining hands-on skills in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing roof and floor trusses using provided software (training will be provided).
• Read and interpret basic architectural and structural plans under supervision.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure designs meet project specifications, building codes, and safety standards.
• Prepare truss layout drawings and material lists for production and construction teams.
• Perform quality checks on designs with guidance from senior staff.
• Communicate with team members to resolve design questions or issues.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or coursework in drafting, engineering, or construction-related fields is a plus but not required).
• Basic computer skills (familiarity with CAD software or design programs is helpful but not mandatory).
• Strong attention to detail and a desire to produce high-quality work.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Interest in learning truss design principles and construction processes.
