POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Analyst will be responsible for business and process analysis, facilitating discussions to elicit business requirements or user stories, and supporting testing efforts to ensure high-quality delivery of our technology solutions. The right person for this position is a team player, must have strong communication and facilitation skills, and experience working in Agile and hybrid Agile / Waterfall environments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as Business Analyst for multiple projects at a time from discovery and project initiation through implementation.
- Work closely with business partners and product owners, cross-functional business and technical teams to facilitate prioritization and analysis for backlog grooming and sprint planning.
- Responsible for the interpretation and evaluation of business rules and processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
- Define business requirements and work with SMEs to define new processes to improve efficiency. Apply knowledge of business process modelling to document future state processes.
- Effectively communicate findings, insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
- Create frameworks, process and data flow diagrams and other documentation to communicate across business and technical teams.
- Identify test scenarios, develop test scripts, and support testing in support of system and user acceptance testing.
- Ensure adherence to project and program processes and life cycles to ensure business and functional requirements are understood, agreed to, documented and can be traced to measurable project success criteria.
- Light scrum master and project management responsibility as needed.
