Duties
- Diagnostic Testing: Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations to identify hearing and balance disorders.Patient
- Consultations: Consult with patients and their families to discuss test results, explain diagnoses, and recommend appropriate treatment options.
- Treatment Planning: Develop customized treatment plans based on individual patient needs, which may include hearing aids, assistive listening devices, or other therapeutic interventions.
- Hearing Aid Fittings: Provide expert guidance on selecting, fitting, and adjusting hearing aids for optimal comfort and performance.
- Counseling: Offer counseling and support to patients and their families regarding hearing loss, communication strategies, and coping mechanisms.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including test results, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Requirements
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program.
- State licensure and certification as an Audiologist.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
