JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understand the basic flow of ice cream production from receiving, mix formulation, production, storage, and distribution. This position will require training and proficiency in all aspects of mix formulation and bulk ingredient receiving.
• Understand, apply, and maintain the application of the HACCP/HARPC plan.
• Follow all safety guidelines and rules; environmental and regulatory guidelines; use all required safety equipment. Maintain quality and cleanliness of the work area and equipment.
• Proficient at Conventional Plating of Finished Products, Intermediate Products and Raw Ingredients.
• Able to Read and Record Total Plate Counts of previously plated samples.
• Able to conduct various tests on Laboratory Equipment, that includes but are not limited to, fats and solids, temperature, viscosity, and acidity.
• Proficient at Performing Calibration Checks on Various Equipment
• Completion of Daily Documentation to ensure Quality Standards are maintained.
• Communicate with Various Departments, via in Person and email, to share information from the Mix Department (i.e. Ingredients Needed, Ingredients Used, Volume Changes, etc.)
• When needed, actively participate in the production of ice cream mixes and the cleaning and sanitation of equipment.
• Operate with safety, quality, and teamwork in mind throughout the shift. Follow all safety guidelines and rules; environmental and regulatory guidelines; use all required safety equipment. Maintain quality and cleanliness of the work area and equipment.
• Other responsibilities as they are assigned and/or develop.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in dairy or food processing is preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds continuously throughout shift.
• Must be able to perform routine maintenance tasks in a confined area such as tanks or tankers.
• Ability to work in a team environment and be cross-functional.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must possess the ability to multitask, prioritize, be organized, and detail oriented.
