Hershey Excavating is seeking an experienced (5 yrs) Site Work Project Manager to manage all aspects of commercial site work projects. Successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of building strong relationships, problem solving and not afraid to get their hands dirty. Also the ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential to the role of the Project Manager.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Working with the General Superintendent, Site Superintendent, or Foreman on a specific project to help facilitate the successful completion of the project.
- Providing leadership and direction when faced with adversity both in the field and from a client.
- Responsible for identifying and executing all change orders, contract updates, and internal costs to ensure the profitability of all assigned projects.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients by representing the company at meetings and through communications.
- Deal with vendors and subcontractors regarding financial obligations.
- Serve as a quality assurance and quality control inspector and demand the best possible performance of contracted scope of work.
- Collecting and organizing documentation from field operations as necessary to support the project and office functions.
- Ensuring that all required project start-up information is obtained or prepared, including, but not limited to: Contracts, Subcontracts, Submittals, Contract Documents, Contact Information, etc.
- Ensuring that all project close-out documents are collected and maintained for an efficient end to a project.
- Observing stipulated safety codes at all times.
- Communicating with coworkers to clarify project specifications, as needed.
- Demonstrating sharp decision-making skills, particularly when under pressure.
- Ensuring company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner.
- Completing required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation.
Job Type: Full-time
