**Job Summary**
Hertford County is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician - Carpenter to perform a variety of carpentry tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in building and repairing frameworks, supports, and wooden articles.
As a member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for:
- ERECTING, MOVING, AND WORKING FROM SCAFFOLDING AND LADDERS.
- PERFORMING SEMI-SKILLED ROOF, CEILING, AND DOOR REPAIR FUNCTIONS.
- ASSISTING IN THE REPAIR OF DRYWALL AND MOVING OR ALTERING NOT-LOAD BEARING WALLS.
- CUTTING AND DRILLING WOOD AND OTHER MATERIALS USING HAND AND POWER TOOLS.
**Responsibilities**
You will also be responsible for checking accuracy of work with levels, rulers, and measuring tapes. You must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force.
