Job Summary:
We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic Event Marketing Interns to join our team at Hertz Arena. As an Event Marketing Intern, you will play a crucial role in assisting with all event marketing & promotional initiatives for Hertz Arena. Ensuring the success of our events, both leading up to and on the day of the event. This position requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for creating memorable experiences for our fans and attendees.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the marketing coordinator and show promoters to ensure their marketing plan is being effectively driven from a venue level.
- Assist the marketing coordinator and be a lead venue liaison for all radio station partners' on-site requests, ensuring smooth communication and efficient project management.
- Assist in managing media budgets and invoices for show settlement, depending on the event.
- Assist, review, and approve Arena graphics and email blasts, including presale and on-sale emails, as well as day-of-event info emails.
- Work together with the marketing team on creative Artist gifts and Back of House experiences.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional strategies for upcoming events.
- Assist in the creation and distribution of promotional materials such as flyers, posters, social media content, and email campaigns.
- Coordinate with external partners, sponsors, and vendors to maximize event exposure and engagement.
- Conduct market research to identify target audiences and develop targeted promotional campaigns.
- Assist in organizing pre-event activities such as ticket sales, giveaways, contests, and fan engagement initiatives.
- Support the execution of on-site promotions during events, including setting up promotional booths, distributing promotional items, and interacting with attendees.
- Monitor event attendance and gather feedback from attendees to evaluate the effectiveness of promotional efforts.
- Collaborate with the game operations team to ensure a seamless integration of promotions during hockey games or concerts.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for event promotion.
- Must be available to work all Hertz Arena events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Previous experience in event marketing, event promotions, photography, and graphic design is preferred.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, Creative Cloud, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of the sports and entertainment industry is a plus.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.
