A Day in the Life:
The Senior Vice President, Chief Procurement Officer will lead all enterprise-wide sourcing and purchasing activities across the organization, spanning approximately $2-3B in spend. This is a highly visible senior leadership role at the company focused on building a highly effective strategic sourcing and cost-saving strategy and organization.
This is a unique opportunity to impact a vibrant business in a meaningful way through sustainable change and the deployment of best-in-class supply management processes, including category management, spend aggregation/leverage, analytics/intelligence, contract development, supply base consolidation, expenditure approval and control, and automation. As such, the SVP will lead initiatives and partner cross-functionally to create systems, engage stakeholders, and negotiate and partner with suppliers.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the Procurement team in the development and implementation of enhanced category strategies and plans to support designated company-wide cost-saving strategic objectives.
- Prioritize high value projects and report progress against procurement goals to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with suppliers and franchisee base to accelerate innovation development.
- Develop and lead a highly performing and engaged Procurement team.
- Support internal collaboration, knowledge sharing, compliance with best practices and established category management process. Leverage technology (hardware/software) as a competitive weapon for the business.
What We’re Looking For:
- 15 years’ procurement-related experience with exposure to Supply Chain, Logistics, or Fleet Management. Additional Finance related experience a plus.
- 3-5 years’ in a procurement leadership role, managing at least a $1B portfolio
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions and locations
- Undergraduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline, required; MBA or advanced technical degree, preferred
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or similar methodologies and tools to drive continuous improvement.
- Strong track record of developing and implementing a strategic plan resulting in significant financial and operational benefits for the organization.
- Specific experience and thought leadership in maximizing productivity through innovative and progressive procurement methods and digital tools, as well as experience in navigating varying levels of change in a large corporate or multinational environment.
