What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Director, Revenue Management position at Hertz Local Edition?
The Senior Director of Revenue Management is responsible for planning and executing pricing and yield strategies in key Revenue Management systems with Manager and Director level leadership for multiple geographies. Additionally, the Sr. The Director of Revenue Management will lead work on department priorities and goals.
What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for email box to ensure inquiries are researched and resolved promptly.
- Manage a leadership team of Managers and Directors of Revenue Management Analysts; communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, and appraise job results; performance management; coaching and counseling; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing standard work and revenue management processes.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of current yield strategies; re-designing or changing strategies and coaching as needed to increase the quality of day-to-day pricing and yield execution; communicate changes to tactics and processes within our department as well as to key stakeholders.
- Works to enable automation of the weekly peak on rent forecast, provide feedback on forecast accuracy, and drive alignment with business partners in fleet and forecasting to maintain desired inventory levels by market. Continually works to improve the granularity and automation we’re able to achieve in our forecasts.
- Oversees department training and mentoring programs for both new and seasoned analysts, working to ensure all team members have challenging and rewarding career growth opportunities.
- Helps to create, update, and promote the adoption of robust processes for revenue management analysts and managers. This person is a strong advocate for effective change; pushing analysts to excel and develop in their careers.

What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s level degree required, MBA preferred: preferably in Statistics, Marketing Analytics, Operations Research, Business Analytics, or Information Engineering. Advanced degree in aforementioned fields of study is strongly desired.
- Minimum of 7 years previous experience in revenue management and/or pricing strategy area with at least 2 years of direct people management experience in revenue management or related field
- Ability to influence, motivate, and develop an engaged and high-performing team.
- Experience within a complex, demand/supply planning environment.
- Process innovation and development; management via KPIs
