A Day in the Life:
As a Senior Product Designer at Hertz, you will take ownership of designing digital products that improve vehicle damage collection and access processes. Collaborating with cross-functional teams—product managers, engineers, and others—you'll ensure the products align with business goals, are user-friendly, and meet the highest standards. Acting as the voice of the user, you will manage feedback, design intuitive interfaces, and guide the entire product experience from research and design to testing and iteration.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead end-to-end design for both customer-facing and internal damage collection products, ensuring a cohesive and seamless experience that meets both customer and internal standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including fleet experience design, customer experience design, product management, engineering, and data science to address complex challenges and deliver high-quality, impactful design solutions.
- Partner with engineering to ensure designs are functional, feasible, and align with technical requirements.
- Engage with stakeholders across Hertz, gathering insights from staff and customers to drive design improvements.
- Identify opportunities for innovation by leveraging user data, research, and feedback to refine and enhance product features.
- Design and iterate on wireframes, prototypes, and user interfaces, improving the process of collecting, managing, and accessing vehicle damage data for enhanced usability and efficiency.
- Conduct user research (usability testing, interviews, etc.) to validate design decisions and incorporate feedback into iterative design improvements.
- Communicate design concepts effectively, producing clear deliverables (e.g., wireframes, storyboards, prototypes) to align the team on the right solutions.
- Collaborate with fellow designers to refine best practices and improve team output and efficiency.
- Contribute to a design-first culture, ensuring design principles are embedded in product development and help shape product strategy and vision.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5 years of experience in UX/UI/Product Design.
- A detailed portfolio showcasing your design expertise and measurable impact.
- Expertise in user-centered design principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Extensive experience with design research and proficiency in tools such as Miro, Figma, Dovetail, SurveyMonkey, and Google Forms.
- Strong experience designing multi-device products across platforms.
- Proven success in leading design projects, driving strategic initiatives, and delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Passion for solving complex design problems and creating intuitive, user-centered experiences.
- Expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research, using insights to inform design decisions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
- Experience optimizing site conversion rates through effective design strategies preferred
- Experience working in an enterprise design environment, particularly with internal tools and systems preferred.
The starting salary is $125,000, commensurate with experience. Posting open until position is filled.
