Summary
As a Lot Porter Manager at Herzog-Meier Auto Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring our dealership runs smoothly by managing vehicle organization, a team of Lot Porters and providing exceptional guest services. This position is essential to maintaining our positive and inclusive culture while supporting our mission to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and lead a team of lot porters to maintain an organized and professional environment.
- Oversee vehicle inventory and ensure all vehicles are clean, fueled, and properly staged for customers.
- Coordinate the movement of vehicles between departments (sales, service, detailing, etc.).
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and damage, addressing issues as needed.
- Ensure the lot is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Maintain key tracking systems and documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely vehicle preparation and delivery.
- Manage schedules, assignments, and performance for lot porter staff.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a customer service role is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is required.
- Familiarity with dealership operations is beneficial.
- Previous management experience
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
