In this role, you will transform raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs, develop reports and dashboards, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
Duties And Responsibilities
- This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.
- Design, develop, and maintain PowerBI dashboards and reports that provide meaningful insights to business stakeholders.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources
- Create and maintain Business Objects reports and universes.
- Collaborate with business teams to understand their reporting needs and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities in data to support business growth and process improvement.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across all reporting platforms.
- Document processes, data dictionaries, and report metadata for knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analytics.
- Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
- Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in a data analysis role.
- Strong proficiency in PowerBI, including DAX and Power Query.
- Advanced SQL skills with experience querying large, complex databases.
- Experience with SAP BusinessObjects, including report design and universe development
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear, compelling manner.
- Experience with data visualization best practices preferred.
- Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis preferred.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes preferred.
- Industry experience in Construction, Transit, or Railway Maintenance preferred.
- Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
- Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen.
- Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
