Overview

Herzog Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Data Analyst in St. Joseph, MO to join our team. In this role, you will transform raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs, develop reports and dashboards, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

Duties and Responsibilities :

This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.
Design, develop, and maintain PowerBI dashboards and reports that provide meaningful insights to business stakeholders.
Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources
Create and maintain Business Objects reports and universes.
Collaborate with business teams to understand their reporting needs and translate requirements into technical solutions.
Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities in data to support business growth and process improvement.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across all reporting platforms.
Document processes, data dictionaries, and report metadata for knowledge sharing.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analytics.
Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog's Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.

Qualifications :

High School diploma or equivalent.

3 years of experience in a data analysis role.

Strong proficiency in PowerBI, including DAX and Power Query.

Advanced SQL skills with experience querying large, complex databases.

Experience with SAP BusinessObjects, including report design and universe development

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field).

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear, compelling manner.

Experience with data visualization best practices preferred.

Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis preferred.

Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes preferred.

Industry experience in Construction, Transit, or Railway Maintenance preferred.

Pre-Employment Requirements :

Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
