Bindery Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Bindery Operator to join our dynamic team in the printing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining bindery equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of print processes, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Duties

• Operate various bindery machines including cutters, folders, and stitchers to complete print jobs efficiently.
• Ensure that all bindery processes adhere to quality standards and specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with press operators and layout designers to ensure accurate production of printed materials.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows as necessary to meet deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols at all times.

Skills

• Proficiency in operating press machinery and bindery equipment.
• Strong knowledge of layout design principles, typography, and color management techniques.
• Experience with screen printing and print advertising processes is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite for design adjustments and modifications.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely for material handling purposes.
• Basic machining skills for fabricating components as needed in the bindery process.
