POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of a multidiscipline team, the Reliability Operator manages the delivery of production targets through competent operation and maintenance of oil and gas production sites. The Reliability Operator is self-motivated, managed, and engaged in the planning process. They demonstrate to peers and the Operations Lead ownership of the facility equipment and systems. The role assures minimum impact on the facility operations and demonstrates good environmental stewardship in order to assist with the delivery of production targets and maintain compliance with Group Practice as defined in Hess Operational Excellence Expectations. The Reliability Operator also provides key oversight, operation, and troubleshooting using LEAN tools of Pumping units, ESP's, separation vessels, storage tanks, piping, flares, etc. found on production sites. This position is located in Tioga, North Dakota. The schedule is 8 (10 hours a day) on/ 6 days off (From Thursday to Thursday). This position is eligible for overtime work.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs equipment surveillance, autonomous maintenance, and first-level response
• Operates equipment and understands process controls & flow (start up, shut down)
• Enters work notifications in SAP
• Communicates work activities accurately in the system (shift changes, logbooks, SAP follow-ups)
• Responsible for executing continuous improvement activities and providing feedback through appropriate channels
• Facilitation of safe work permitting processes
• Complies with all Hess Rules and guidance (energy isolation, confined space, hot work)
• Clearly communicates applicable Hess policies and procedures relevant to work activities
• Coaches on safety aspects of the job and work location
• Process Safety Management (PSM) Regulations – knowledgeable on how work needs to be conducted to be regulatory compliant (e.g., aware of signage requirements, training requirements, and operation requirements).
• Work independently at times to maintain production goals and manage process upsets.
• Utilize P&IDs and PFDs to help troubleshoot, maintain equipment, and perform maintenance activities.

Experience/Skills

• Industrial / oilfield experience
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft, SAP)
• Mechanical aptitude
• Good communication skills

• Knowledge of safety requirements and practices
• Able to work in a team environment

• High school diploma or equivalent required
