Position Summary
We are seeking an Accountant – Financial Reporting to take responsibility for preparing and delivering accurate, timely financial statements to the management team. This person will work closely with the Controller, but will own the financial reporting process, ensuring leadership has the financial insights they need to make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements on schedule.
- Ensure all tax filings are completed on time, including sales tax and payroll tax.
- Support external audits and prepare necessary financial documentation.
- Oversee payables transactions and collaborate with all company locations to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
- Assist with invoicing as-needed.
- Reconcile bank accounts daily and address discrepancies.
- Prepare journal entries and ensure accuracy in general ledger maintenance.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist with forecasting and variance analyses.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with labor regulations including monthly audits of company-wide payrolls.
- Support external audit activities and prepare year-end fiscal reports.
- Maintain relationships with external vendors, banks, and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare and file quarterly and annual sales tax reports and other required financial filings.
- Oversee and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with our CPA’s regarding tax compliance.
- Identify and support process improvements and implementation of financial controls.
- Perform internal audits of processes in the satellite offices to maintain integrity of processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (required).
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with accounting ERP software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience in working for a manufacturing company a plus.

Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts.
