PLS Manager (Packing Loading Shipping)

Hetran-B, a well-established engineering and machine manufacturing company specializing in bar processing located in Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania is seeking a qualified Department Manager for our packing/loading/shipping (PLS) department. Work will be based in-shop.

The qualified individual will be responsible for:

• Shipping & Receiving - Managing the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
• Unpack and receive delivery shipments comparing packing slips to purchase orders, ensuring accurate deliveries.
• Direct the flow of packages/parts from preparation to shipment.
• Utilize Visual ERP software to track, check and route orders.
• Receive completed work orders from shop floor and coordinate shipment with customer service.
• Pull and issue parts/material from a picklist for order fulfillment.
• Prepare freight shipments and load trucks.
• Manage and prepare job boxes for fabricated and purchased parts used for assemblies and machines.
• Generate return paperwork as required.
• Collaborate with shop personnel, customer service, purchasing and AP as needed in the shipment and receipt of products.
• Manage stock and consumable items inventory, including physical inventory count when required.
• Keep stock room organized and clean.
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with all other department managers and staff
• Answer emails in a timely manner
• The qualified applicant must be able to work independently.
• Assist with general facility clean up.
• Previous experience in shipping and receiving is required.
• Forklift certification and/or experience is required.
• Computer skills are required.
• Solid inventory management skills.
