Hetty's Brilliant Minds is a faith-based childcare center that offers innovative, year-round, before school, full-day, and educational preschool as well as infant care. It is at the heart of our vision to offer a program that addresses the whole child. The mission of our childcare center is to provide a safe, loving, and encouraging environment that not only meets children's developmental and academic needs. We need a Program Director to join our team to lead our program.

- Manages School staff by planning work schedules, evaluating staff performance, and developing performance improvement plans.
- Assists with the implementation of curriculum, which includes coaching, communicating, and interpreting standards with teachers.
- Be accountable for the operation of the school, ensuring that the school is operating in accordance with company and state licensing standards.
- Be responsible for ensuring an educational, nurturing, and safe environment for the children and parents.
- Maintain open, consistent and effective communication with parents, providing parent education training, assistance and support as needed.
- Provide reliable, accurate and timely information about the child care center to interested parties
- Maintain, at all times, high quality childcare standards based on developmentally appropriate practices
- Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.
- Assist in other projects as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree, including or in addition to 12 credits in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field; one year of full-time teaching experience in a child care center, family or group family day care home or other early childhood programs; and one year of experience supervising staff in a child care program or a related field of work
- A New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential; one year of full-time teaching experience in a child care center, family or group family day care home, or other early childhood program; and one year of experience supervising staff in a child care program or a related field of work.
