Hewes Marine Company, the maker of Hewescraft boats, is seeking a Sales Representative who will (under the direction of the Sales Manager) support the boat, motor, and trailer sales efforts of the Pacific Northwest’s #1 boat builder. Key responsibilities of this position include professional handling of incoming sales calls from both dealers and potential customers, and effective representation of the Hewescraft brand throughout the sales process.
Responsibilities
- Ensure excellent communication and relationship building with dealers to generate and support consistent boat sales to more than 40 boat dealers throughout the U.S. and Canada.
- Professionally handle incoming sales calls from Hewescraft boat owners, dealers, and potential customers.
- Answer Hewescraft owner, dealer, and prospective boat buyers’ technical questions regarding boat construction, features/options, and operation.
- Attend boat shows throughout North America and provide excellent factory representation to dealers and prospective boat buyers.
- Assist the Sales Manager with dealer questions, concerns, and training.
- Provide Hewescraft factory tours.
- Crosstrain with other sales staff to ensure full task coverage throughout the department.
- Complete other tasks assigned by the Sales Manager.
Education/Experience Desired
- Minimum of AS/AA (2-year degree) in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field—or equivalent experience. BS/BA preferred.
- 2 years of experience in inside/outside sales positions.
- Valid Washington State Boater Education Card.
- Excellent customer service skills and mindset.
- Able to multi-task in an environment of shifting priorities.
- Self-directed with excellent time management skills.
- Able to work well in a team environment with all levels of management.
- Outstanding communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- High regard for safety.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint).
- Previous experience in marine manufacturing, and strong boating and fishing knowledge, preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
