This position performs manual labor tasks, including various prep work and final finish tasks. The Accessory position reports to the Production Supervisor.
Examples of Position Responsibilities:
- Perform various prep work and final finish tasks on boats, including installing hoses, electrical equipment, windows, etc., and cutting parts.
- Work well within a team environment.
- Cross-train within the production departments, as needed.
- Accurately use a tape measure
- Read and follow instructions.
- Use a variety of tools.
- Lift & move parts or equipment.
- Demonstrate High regard for safety.
- Manage time well.
- Perform manual labor tasks.
- With safety in mind, wear appropriate PPE- May include respirators, gloves, ear and eye protection, etc.
Education/Experience Desired:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a Production atmosphere preferred.
- Previous experience in tasks assigned to Assembly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Walking/Standing frequently at work bench or boat.
- Occasionally perform work from or climb ladders.
- Twist/Band/Stoop/Squat/Kneel occasionally to frequently to install parts.
- Crawl seldom.
- Reach with one or both arms occasionally too frequently.
- Work above shoulders occasionally.
- Grasping/Wrist Flexing/Fine Finger Manipulation frequently of tools and small parts.
- Vibratory Tasks frequently- dependent on tool.
- Lift/Carry up to 50 lbs. seldom, generally less than 10 ft.
- Lift/Carry up to 25 lbs. occasionally, generally less than 20 ft.
- Lift/Carry up to 10 lbs. frequently.
- Push/Pull exerting up to 100 lbs. of force while moving supplies or boats.
- PPE: Safety glasses, cut resistant gloves, hearing protection, face shield if using a saw, chem gloves if using chemicals to clean boats.

Compensation:
- This position is a full-time, hourly position within Hewes Marine Company
- Work schedule Monday–Friday
- Some overtime and weekend work are required.
- Wage Range: $21.50 to $29.50 per hour
