The Production Laborer will perform manual labor tasks and be able to work within multiple Production departments as needed. The Production Laborer position is hourly and will report to the Production Supervisors’ team.
Examples of Position Responsibilities:
- Cross-train within the production departments
- Accurately use a tape measure
- Read and follow instructions.
- Use a variety of tools.
- Lift & move parts or equipment.
- Attention to detail.
- Demonstrate high regard for safety.
- Manage time well.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Perform manual labor tasks.
- With safety in mind, wear appropriate PPE – May include respirators, gloves, ear, and eye protection, etc.
Education/Experience Desired:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous Experience in a Production atmosphere preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Perform manual labor tasks such as using a DA sander to prepare surfaces for painting, taping and draping boats, and cleaning surfaces with metal cleaner.
- Push/Pull occasionally to move parts/equipment to proper location, moving boats to next assembly area. May exert up to 100 pounds of force.
- Lift and carry occasionally up to 35 pounds from floor to waist or table/cart to waist- max distance generally less than 50 feet.
- Manual dexterity/Grasping/Flexing of wrist constantly
- Fine finger manipulation and reaching occasionally.
- Vibratory tasks using DA sander frequently to constantly.
- Repetitive motion frequently
- Kneeling/Crawling frequently required inside of boat.
- Sitting/Standing/Walking occasionally
- Ladder use/Work from ladder frequently to climb in and out of boats.
- Ability to wear appropriate PPE. PPE: PAPR Hood and turbo or N95/99/100 Particulate respirator, chemical resistant gloves or cut resistant gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection.
Seldom: 1-10% of shift Occasional: 11-33% of shift Frequent: 34-66% of shift Constant: 67% of shift
Compensation:
- This position is a full-time, hourly, position within Hewes Marine Company
- Work schedule Monday – Friday
- Some overtime and weekend work are required.
- Wage Range $20.50 – $23.50
