Responsible for defining, developing & supporting the NonStop sales process for technology and solutions with account teams. Engages in account transactions based on technical expertise required in specific deals / programs leveraging specialized knowledge base across multiple accounts. Focuses on area of technical expertise, e.g., specific products / areas within company’s global business units. Responsible for technical consulting work with customers in selling and supporting HPE NonStop products, services and systems, or software. Provides technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, and customer training.

In a typical day as a HPE NonStop Presales Architect, you would :

  • Participate in deep-dive discussions and gather information about customer technical needs and assess customer's current IT infrastructure, translating the technical view into the implementation view to architect an overall technical solution.
  • Define technical alternatives and possible shortcomings to the proposed solution.
  • Collaborate with account teams and other company organizations in developing and communicating key value propositions and negotiation points for a specific product set and technology.
  • Deliver compelling and convincing presentations addressing specific requirements and expectations; effectively link the technical features and functions of company’s HPE NonStop solutions with tangible business benefits that meet customer challenges.
  • Protect and expand HPE's footprint with the customer by leveraging new technologies, upgrades, and refreshes to the company's installed base. Develop strategies to counter likely competitive threats.
  • Responsible for pipeline information to be updated and accurately reflect the area of responsibility to ensure nurturing of all deals and constant movement of opportunities to close.
  • Represent HPE as a technical expert with customers and advance opportunities through the use of effective consultative selling techniques.
  • Facilitate smooth transition from sales to implementation by orienting the appropriate teams to the technical solution design and identifying related training needs.

Experience

  • Holding a technical Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years HPE NonStop experience.
  • Typically, 2 years’ experience in technical consultative selling of product, solutions, services.
  • Must have familiarity with HPE NonStop product offerings, strategic initiatives, current trends, competitor products, and strategies within the area of responsibility.
  • Familiarity with HPE NonStop partner’s offerings and how to effectively access, engage, and collaborate with them.
  • Good at partnering, innovating, and making things happen. You are aligned to our core values.
  • Understanding the competition and thereby positioning strategy and technology.
  • Demonstrating excellent consultative selling techniques, including active listening, framing, white boarding, storytelling, etc.
  • Working knowledge and using social media, blogging, and related information-sharing technologies.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Solid project management skills or experience, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including appropriate due diligence.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with an understanding of functional responsibilities of various customer business roles.
  • Must live near a major airport with up to 25% travel.
  • HPE NonStop knowledge-based and experienced-based industry certifications strongly preferred.

    The expected salary / wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education / training, and / or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered.     USD Annual Salary : $87,500.00 - $205,500.00
