Open up opportunities with HPE.Job Description : HPE is looking for a System Engineer- Solution Architect with a solid understanding of complex, large scale systems to manage the planning, budgeting, ordering and placement of next generation systems for use internally by the System Solutions & Integration group. Responsibilities : Attend HW core team meetings to ensure understanding of future roadmap and timing of delivery schedulePartner with data center to ensure space, power and cooling requirements can be met for new HWPartner with finance to manage CAPEX and OPEX for groupLead HW planning meetings and capture needs from stakeholdersForecast HW needs 12-24 months out and ensure quantity / type and price are captured for budget review and approvalOrdering of new HW per approved budgetMaintain inventory of all hardware (including spares) owned by the groupEducation and Experience Required : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.10 years experience working in strategic planning in a technology lab environmentPrevious managing a hardware / compute lab is highly preferredKnowledge and Skills : Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.Experience in overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at business unit and executive levels.Additional Skills : Cloud Architectures, Cross Domain Knowledge, Design Thinking, Development Fundamentals, DevOps, Distributed Computing, Microservices Fluency, Full Stack Development, Security-First Mindset, Solutions Design, Testing & Automation, User Experience (UX)What We Can Offer You : Health & WellbeingWe strive to provide our team members and their loved ones with a comprehensive suite of benefits that supports their physical, financial and emotional wellbeing.Personal & Professional DevelopmentWe also invest in your career because the better you are, the better we all are.
