Cybersecurity Tools Engineer
HP Cybersecurity is responsible for securing the HP enterprise. As HP continues its digital transformation, the work of cybersecurity professionals is never complete and always interesting.
- Act as a subject matter expert within the HP Enterprise Security Operations organization
- Define standard operating procedures and workflows for processes used by other teams
- Support and contribute to development and maintenance of custom tooling needed by the organization
- Manage configuration, deployments, integration, and updates of commodity security tools across HP's cloud and on-premise infrastructure
- Assist HP cybersecurity with tasks best solved by automation
The ideal candidate typically has:
- 6 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in a cybersecurity domain such as incident response, threat intelligence, or vulnerability management
- Experience writing code/scripts in a modern language, preferably Python
- Experience maintaining Windows and Linux server environments
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels of an organization and across diverse cultural and linguistic barriers
This role is part of the HP Security Engineering, Innovation, and Threat Intelligence team in the Enterprise Security Operations organization, enabling optimal communication and collaboration with closely related functions.
As a Tools Engineer, you will have the opportunity to interface with other HP functions using your knowledge to help our analysts protect HP from attacks.
