DESCRIPTION:
The HP Solutions Portfolio Director plays a pivotal role in driving strategic growth and maximizing the value of an HP Solutions Hardware, Software, and Services portfolio. This individual will be responsible for driving the processes to align portfolio programs and key performance metrics across multiple business units to achieve HP Solutions strategic objectives. Leveraging their deep portfolio management experience, the Solutions Portfolio Director will help HP Solutions deliver on its portfolio commitments, manage program risks, and improve overall portfolio collaboration to ensure portfolio’s long-term success.
The Solutions Portfolio Director should have expertise and a proven track record in managing the performance of a complex portfolio with a combination of hardware, software, and/or services in a large enterprise. This role requires an understanding of the market landscape and developing deep knowledge of HP’s portfolio to ensure our solutions are best in class. This role also requires someone who has excellent communication skills to interact with a cross-portfolio team across business units, product management, marketing, IT, and sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Portfolio Performance Monitoring & Improvement:
- Continuously monitor the performance of the product portfolio, analyzing key metrics and identifying risks and areas for improvement.
- Track and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for portfolio optimization and improvement.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on the performance of the product portfolio, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
Stakeholder Management & Communication:
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication to ensure alignment and efficient execution of the HPS Portfolio.
- Present portfolio performance data and insights to stakeholders, providing recommendations for strategic decision-making.
- Serve as trusted advisor in executive level strategic alignment discussions about HP's Solution Portfolio capabilities (requires deep knowledge across industries and relevant solution ecosystems and ability to communicate at executive and practitioner level)
- Manage matrixed interactions with business leaders to address solution issues, represents the organization to both internal and external stakeholders

- Applies expert subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving most complex business/technical issues within established policies.
EDUCATION/WORK REQUIREMENTS
- 10 years of experience in portfolio management with industry-specific solutions in key hardware, software or technical services industries.
- Direct relevant experience with owning a product or solution in target industries from introduction through launch and into maturity.
- Experience managing individual contributors and other managers
- Strategic thinking and strong execution background, strong bias for delivering results
- Sense of urgency and will to win!
- Four-year or Graduate degree in Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence
- PMP, PMI, PMO Certified
- SAFE, Scrum, Agile, LEAN, and Blackbelt certifications are desirable
