For 40 years, our market leading LaserJet brand and portfolio has been a cornerstone of HP’s Print business. HP’s Alliance team is responsible for leading our strategic partnership including business strategy and business model, price negotiations, and seamless business operations. Our team is seeking a leader with high business acumen, strong strategy and project management skills, and curiosity to make things better in approaching our joint business.
This role is responsible for managing and conducting negotiations to achieve alignment with Canon on our joint business and development programs (in the Value Portfolio space). Key responsibilities include:
Responsibilities

Defining, aligning, and operationalizing business elements of Canon platforms through the lifecycle for Value Portfolio
- Canon product costs and negotiation strategy, inclusive of HW and supplies
- Aligning Canon on R&D NPI program schedules and scope, including critical market, customer, and business assumptions to enable ROI and OEM price agreement
- Identifying and delivering cost reduction opportunities with Canon
- Defining and managing post launch Canon alignment processes including market performance reporting and EOL
- Negotiating business model changes post-launch

Defining and operationalizing joint business programs. Some examples include:
- Defining specifics on Canon funding programs including scope (products and markets), forecasts and key performance metrics
- Contributing to the HP business model definition for growth strategies with Canon, including contractual print

Defining and optimizing internal processes to enable above programs:
- Elevating teams to deliver actional insights (for all stakeholders) on business performance metrics
- Building cadence and expectations for shift teams from reactive to proactive
- Defining, operationalizing, and continually improving transition to new joint communications infrastructure.
- Developing team on business acumen and insights generation.
- Provides strong leadership, develops and sets individual and team goals, and acts as a change agent and leader; ensures proper tools and resources are in place to support team efforts.
- Performs talent management responsibilities including recruitment, performance management, coaching and career development.
Education & Experience Recommended
- Four-year degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. MBA desired.
- Typically has 10 years of job-related experience or 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in operations, strategic finance, or a related field.

The base pay range for this role is $146,650 to $225,850 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
