Job Summary : Performs engineering technician work related to developing, evaluating, implementing, monitoring, and improving manufacturing processes in assigned areas. Successfully completes engineering related projects to support production operations. This includes production process improvements, cost reduction initiatives and work cell lean directives for increased output and product quality.
Shift Schedule : 2nd - 3pm to 11 : 30pm - M-F
Duties and Responsibilities
- Hands-on manufacturing process implementation using lean manufacturing experience including value stream mapping, line balancing, kaizen, setup production, throughput measures, and 5S.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication and time management skills to interface and operate on multiple levels and within cross-functional teams.
- Assist manufacturing engineers with various production related projects.
- Awareness and basic understanding of the APQP process (PPAP’s, FMEA’s, PFMEA’s, Gage R&R, SPC, Control Plans) relating to manufacturing.
- Problem solving skills – (8D, 8-Step, 5 Whys) with systematic / practical approach to resolution of problems.
- Thorough understanding of process documentation system.
- Apply basic IE practices including time measurement, capacity planning, work sample studies, ergonomics and motion economy.
- Assist in develop process flows, estimated cycle times, manpower requirements, equipment, utilities and floor space requirements, including proper development, training and transition of stable processes to production.
- Interact with external and internal customers regarding current and proposed processes as required.
- Interface with maintenance, electro-mechanical technicians and other manufacturing engineering resources to collaboratively resolve production issues.
- Able to lead and complete projects in assigned work areas.
- Create, document, develop and implement procedures used to manufacture, assemble and / or test Agility Fuel Solutions products in assigned work areas.
- Learn about new technologies and manufacturing approaches. Able to propose improvements to Agility Fuel Solutions fabrication processes and systems.
