Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence (ALI) Global IT Department is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented IT Operations Intern to join our Internship Program. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT operations, services, and database administration within a dynamic global organization.
As an IT Operations Intern, you will work closely with the Global IT team to maintain and improve IT systems while assisting with essential day-to-day operations. This role combines technical troubleshooting, system enhancement, and documentation tasks, giving you a comprehensive understanding of IT operations. You’ll also have the chance to contribute to project planning, data collection, and automation efforts, gaining exposure to critical IT functions and user communication.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to IT staff and customers on hardware and software-related issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot systems and applications at both server and client workstation levels.
- Inventory, monitor, and audit IT systems managed by the Hexagon ALI Global IT team.
- Write, review, edit, and manage IT policy, process, and work instruction documentation.
- Assist in the collection, interpretation, and reporting of data required for critical IT projects.
- Collaborate on project planning documentation and coordination efforts.
- Support automation of daily IT tasks using appropriate tools.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent writing, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of computer systems, software, and basic network/system security concepts.
- Experience with hardware and software installation.
- Familiarity with SQL databases and structured query language (SQL).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
