Responsibilities
The Renewals Specialist is responsible for managing and securing all aspects of ETQ’s annual renewals for our On-Premise and SaaS customer base. This critical role is focused on driving a high percentage of on-time renewals, protect annual price increases and up-selling contracts to higher Support tiers. The tasks include creating and delivering quotes, handling discussions and negotiations, updating customer records, and teaming with internal stakeholders. The Renewals Specialist will be highly responsive, take ownership of the renewal contract from creation to booking, is detail-oriented, and a natural problem-solver. They are able to handle objections and questions, handle complex negotiations, and provide consultative advice to customers on maximizing value from their ETQ solutions.

What To Expect
- Manage SaaS renewals and Support and Maintenance Renewals
- Research and review purchase history and agreements, update systems, and generate quotes for upcoming renewals
- Work directly with customers to provide renewal pricing and secure on-time renewal commitment
- Independently handle pricing discussions and negotiations with customers to drive a high retention rate, protecting annual price increases and renewal contract values, and up-sell contracts to higher Support tiers
- Manage the renewal process of each renewal and align and keep internal stakeholders informed of renewal status and customer needs
- Process renewal orders and keep systems accurate and up to date
- Identify risks and trends and work with internal teams on proactively creating counter-strategies
- Be able to articulate (in writing and over phone) convincing value-proposition to motivate renewal of contract
- Identify upsell opportunities with existing customers through analyzing usage trends, support experience, and through direct discussions
- Stay informed on latest offerings and options for customers who want to expand or reduce their contracts with ETQ
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Proficient in writing and communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize in fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and multiple systems
- Works well independently and as part of a team working towards shared goals
- Comfort with handling customer questions and negotiations
- Ability to think outside the box and problem solve
- Detail-oriented, with high attention to details without losing speed and agility
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel skills
- Solid Salesforce experience (or similar) and Quickbooks is a plus
