Solution Engineers assist the sales team by acting as technical experts in customer presentations. In addition, Pre-Sales Engineers determine client requirements and act as a liaison between the Sales and Development teams.
Daily Duties
- Assist the sales team in engaging sales prospects, assess customer requirements, and address technical questions that arise throughout the sales process
- Configure and present the ETQ product suite for sales demonstrations via onsite and/ or online
- Review and answer technical questions and documents submitted by prospects, customers, and/ or internal staff
- Assist in the completion of RFP’s and technical/ solution documents
- Customer liaison to assist services in developing customer service quotes
- Provide first-level support to prospects that are performing a Proof-of-Concept trial or Evaluation, filtering all requests, and workshop before they are handed to Technical Support
- Maintain the security and privacy of ETQ’s information assets.
- Visit customers throughout the U.S. and abroad to meet daily Pre-Sales duties (60% plus travel may be required)
- Provide technical content when requested by Management
Provide necessary reports when requested
Attend Sales meetings when requested
- Learn all functional and technical aspects of the product
- Keep up with the industry and technical news and developments through trade magazines and online material
- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience in engineering, information systems, or business administration
- Proven technology skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Willingness to travel
