Purpose of Position:

The IT Strategic Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple IT programs, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the organization's objectives. The role plays a critical role in supporting the VP of IT and the IT leadership team. This position will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, ensuring effective communication and coordination across the IT department, business and managing the IT Steering Committee.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Assist the VP of IT in developing and executing the IT strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
• Engage with key stakeholders, including business units, IT teams, and external partners, to ensure alignment and successful delivery of IT projects.
• Lead and manage the IT Steering Committee, facilitating meetings, setting agendas, and ensuring effective decision-making and governance of IT initiatives.
• Oversee and manage key IT projects and programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Serve as a liaison between the VP of IT, IT leadership team, and other departments, ensuring clear and effective communication of IT initiatives and priorities.
• Track and report on the progress of IT projects and programs, providing regular updates to the VP of IT and the IT Steering Committee.
• Coordinate and track post-announcement integration activities, encompassing systems, infrastructure, and end-user integrations.
• Prepares and delivers regular, effective communications to ensure that leadership and project sponsors are adequately apprised of project statuses, successes, risks and issues.
• Provide strategic guidance to project managers and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved within the defined scope, timeline, and budget.
• Establish project management standards, processes, templates, tools, and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency across the organization.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration across departments and teams.
• Develop and maintain project performance metrics and dashboards to monitor project progress and report to executive leadership.

Knowledge & Experience Required:

Education / Credentials

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, or related field. A PMP certification and/or master’s degree is preferred.
• 10 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex projects and programs.
• Effective leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, such as Agile, Waterfall, and PMP.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with changing priorities and multiple stakeholders.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and issues.

Travel Requirements:

Ability to travel up to 10 – 25% annually
