What are the responsibilities and job description for the Database Specialist position at Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure?
As a database design and development specialist, this position will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems and applications for products in Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure. This includes database schema design, experience with the infrastructure for accessing the database, performance tuning and High Availability and disaster recovery. This position will work on our next-generation computer-aided dispatch system in a high-performance agile/scrum team of mixed disciplines.
Requirements:- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline with 5 or more years of relevant experience.
- Experience working in an agile/scrum environment preferred
- Experience in .Net development with C# preferred
- Experience with relational database concepts and SQL required
- Oracle and SQLServer
- Windows, Linux and Azure platforms
- Experience with these access technologies required
- ADO .net
- Entity Framework
- Linq
- PL/SQL
- TSQL
- Experience with Database administration and maintenance required
