What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacist - Inpatient position at HexaQuEST Global - Healthcare?
1. General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Responsible for dispensing prescriptions and monitoring patient drug therapy in accordance with all applicable regulations and standards. This responsibility includes activities inclusive of, but not limited to, medication order/prescription dispensing, compounding, monitoring of patient medication therapies, counseling patients, documenting interventions, providing drug information and supervising support personnel.
2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
MediTech Expanse; CII Safe; Pyxis
3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Minimum of 1 year experience as an Inpatient Pharmacist
4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
Active license and in good standing as a pharmacist in the state of Arizona
5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)
Employee will work varied shifts; will NOT be working alone; No call ; will be required to work every other weekend
6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)
No Floating to other departments
7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
235 licensed beds (average census 120)
8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)

Department orientation on day 1; followed by MediTech training; CII safe training; clinical training specific to KRMC
