Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated EKG Technician to join our medical team. As an EKG Technician, you will be responsible for performing electrocardiogram (EKG) tests to help diagnose and monitor heart conditions in patients. This is a vital role in our healthcare facility, as accurate EKG readings are crucial for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Duties: - Perform electrocardiogram (EKG) tests on patients using specialized equipment - Attach electrodes to the patient's chest, arms, and legs to record electrical activity of the heart - Monitor the patient's vital signs during the test - Operate and maintain EKG equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning properly - Prepare test results for interpretation by a physician or cardiologist - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely test results - Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information Skills: - Proficiency in performing sonography procedures - Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and interpretation - Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures - Strong understanding of human physiology and anatomy - Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using EKG equipment - Excellent knowledge of medical terminology related to cardiology - Adherence to aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited EKG technician training program - Certification as an EKG Technician preferred but not required - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording test results - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for cardiology and providing quality patient care, we encourage you to apply for this position.
