JOB SUMMARY
As the 3rd Shift Team Lead you will direct up to 15 employees alongside the Supervisor in the replenishment, picking, packing, and shipping process. Train new and developing employees in the picking, packing and shipping processes. Coach employees that are having efficiency and error issues, by monitoring picking rates and the error log.
LOCATION
Warehouse at HexArmor Headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan
HOURS
This is a newly developed 3rd shift is set to begin operations in March 2025. Employees will undergo approximately one week of training on 1st shift before transitioning. The 3rd shift schedule will be from 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Assist in training of new warehouse employees in replenishment, picking, and outbound processes.
- Monitoring daily task of order pickers, packers, and shippers.
- Work hand in hand with Supervisor to maintain the physical condition of the warehouse and be back for other team leaders.
- Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the style, size, and quantity of product is accurate.
- Work closely with inventory specialist to complete slotting and inventory discrepancies.
- Operate forklift when required.
- Conduct physical inventories as required and take part in year-end and general inventory procedures.
- Meet company performance standards for productivity.
- Achieves team results by communicating job expectations, monitoring job results, and coaching employees to achieve goals.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Any other essential tasks as needed.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma (GED) and 1 year of experience in a warehouse setting.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Receiving knowledge.
- Ability to stay organized.
- Ability to multitask.
- Preferred: Experience leading a team.
COMPENSATION
Starting at $23.30 per hour, which includes the $1.30 per hour shift premium, with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off accrual, and 401(k) matching after one year of employment.
