SUMMARY
The Recruiting/HR Intern is a paid internship based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Grand Rapids, MI. The Intern will play an exciting role in driving our recruitments efforts by assisting in recruiting warehouse and production employees, supporting smooth orientation/onboarding experiences, and collaborating closely with HR/Operations Management. You will have an opportunity to get hands on recruitment and HR experience in a fast paced, fun, and growing environment – looking to bring an individual on to the team immediately!

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Post job openings, screen resumes, conduct initial phone screenings, and scheduling onsite interviews/tours
- Conduct structured onsite interviews, tours, and debriefs for the selection process
- Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS-Greenhouse) for assigned job openings
- Communicate with HR and Operations Leadership regarding recruiting needs and applicant selection
- Assist in onboarding new hires – coordinate/schedule drug screens/background and first day instructions
- Assist in New Hire Orientation and first day training/introduction to the job
- Track weekly and daily recruitment metrics and consult with HR Leadership on maintaining applicant flow
- Utilize marketing and employment branding tools to increase and/or maintain a pipeline of applicants
- Assist in other HR related duties as needed – time keeping, data entry, reporting, corporate recruiting, scheduling, event planning, employment branding, etc.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Pursuing a Four-year degree preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration or other closely related field.
- Able to work and communicate with people of different backgrounds and different languages is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Currently enrolled in Bachelor’s program, emphasis on Human Resources, Communications, or Social Sciences preferred, but not required
- Illustrates professional behavior in a business environment
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Stellar interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills and comfort with public speaking
- Highly motivated and proactive team player who is eager to learn
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Google Sheets, HRIS or ATS is a plus
- Ability to work onsite 20 hours/week.
