Job Description:
Lead, coordinate and communicate the schedule, timeline, resource allocation and budget for defense products on a project basis. Serve as a point of contact for our clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management, to ensure project alignment and transparency.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular status reports to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies.
- Facilitate project meetings, including kick-offs, status updates, and retrospectives.
- Manage project documentation, including project charters, schedules, budgets, and change requests.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Competencies / Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Toms Planner, Monday.com).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with defense contracting and funding requirements.
- Working knowledge of USML (ITAR) and CCL (EAR) requirements/controls.
- Functional knowledge of the application of FARS and DFARS in government contracts.
- Current PMP certification is required.
- Ideally, a bachelor’s degree in project management, Business Administration, or a related field.
