Role :: Project Manager
Location:: McLean, VA (5 Days Onsite from Day 1)
What would you do?
- Basic understanding on different OS, DB and Technology stacks (like Windows/Linux operating systems, Oracle/Sybase/MongoDB Databases, JDK/Spring Boot etc. Difference between App servers, DB servers and middleware servers.
- General understanding of cloud virtual servers vs. on prem servers and high level of project platform architecture.
- Basic knowledge on cyber security fundamentals and computer vulnerabilities like CVE Ids and the identification, tracking and remediation techniques. Collaborate with vendors on upgrading their licensed tools and products within the warranty support window to avoid any risks.
- Assist in planning, managing IT projects by clearly defining the scope, budget, timeline, resource allocation (RACI matrix),perform detailed work breakdown structure, work assignments and timely closure.
- Strong interpersonal and follow up skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders like different engineering teams, managed service teams, application teams and business teams towards achieving a common goal.
- Ability to drive conversations between technical teams and stakeholders ensuring clarity and alignment and building consensus on making decisions.
- Follow up with team members on status updates and outstanding tasks.
- Facilitate the debugging and troubleshooting of issues with relevant teams for faster resolution
- Very good at managing project risks and preparing the back up plans, RAID logs, RAG status and also to identify and communicate the risks early.
- Good at preparing the Project weekly and monthly status reports and metrics reports like KPI (key performance indicator), OKR/KRA-->objectives and key results/ Key result areas
- Well versed on categorizing the requirements into Functional and NFR (Non-functional requirements)
- Well versed in Project management tools like WorkDay, ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence and MS Project etc..
- Well versed in MS office suite like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI etc.
- Very good at managing and directly working with the senior leadership team
- Adapt quickly to new software tools, processes and platforms to support project management, tracking and reporting
- Flexibility to work over weekends to support critical project deployments /deliverables
- Good understanding of Site reliability engineering(SRE) and DevOps Tool chain is preferred (Specifically Disaster Recovery, Observability and Logging)
- PMP, CSM or ITIL certification is preferred
