Role – Engineering Delivery Head

Location New Jersey, Washinton D , Virginia OR Boston

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Head to lead our application, product, and systems engineering engagements across various verticals and accounts in North America. In this role, you will be responsible for driving up customer success by delivering innovative and high-quality product engineering solutions that meet their evolving needs. You will also be a key member of our leadership team, responsible for shaping our engineering strategy and driving our growth in the North American market.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the delivery of complex and challenging engineering & digital transformation -engagements, legacy modernization (forward engineering), ensuring on-time, on-budget, and within scope delivery.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and providing technical leadership and guidance.
• Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to define and execute the product roadmap.
• Stay abreast of the latest technology trends and identify opportunities to leverage them to improve our products and services.
• Good expertise of product engineering, framework, services and prioritization of technical activities, POC, MVPs to mitigate any technical risks
• Build and maintain a high-performance engineering culture that attracts, architects, engineers, developers, and retains top talent.
• Contribute to the development of our overall business strategy and participate in key decision-making processes.
• Manage and mentor a team of highly skilled engineers, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their full potential.
• Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of engineering projects.
• Ability to plan, schedule, task and work with Project Managers to ensure projects are planned well
• Good experience, expertise in Agile process with end-to-end knowledge in scrum and Kanban implementation.
• Ability to understand technical architecture, solution approach and provide directions to mitigate technical challenges in execution
• Identify and mitigate risks to ensure the successful delivery of engineering projects.
• Manage the budget for the engineering team, ensuring that resources are used effectively.
• Represent the engineering team to other departments and stakeholders.
• Requirement elicitation, design and development experience
• Risk management, tracking and mitigating
• End-to-end release management experience / knowledge using DevOps processes and tools
• Sound knowledge in testing, quality assurance and process knowledge
• Excellent customer management and communication skills.
• Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performance teams. People-centric with a passion for developing and mentoring others.
• Improve productivity of the team by initiating & institutionalizing GenAI, Automation etc
• Customer interaction and ensuring customer delight
• Excellent pre-sales, architecture, state-of-art solutions and delivery skills.
• Experience working in a matrix organization is a plus

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 20 years of overall industry experience predominantly in software product engineering, architecture, digital transformation and delivery management (should have performed Delivery head role)
• Managed Fixed Price, mile stone based delivery, outcome-based delivery
• Strong in commercial models and able to negotiate effectively.
• Collaborative and able to work effectively with a large offshore team.
• A thought leader – have written White Papers / Blogs / Articles / Videos on Products, technology, AI, Innovation, Engineering - participated in conferences, events and active on social media.
• National and international short-term travel at short notice may be required
