Mainframe Developer
MacLean, VA (Hybrid Model)
We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in mainframe technologies and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe applications. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2.
- Collaborate with business analysts and project managers to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, providing timely support to end-users.
- Optimize application performance and ensure system reliability and scalability.
- Participate in system testing and quality assurance processes.
- Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in mainframe development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
